Neil Harward's profile

Adobe Systems, Inc.

Senior Graphic Designer at Adobe Systems, Inc. for 12 years starting with Acrobat 5.0 and Reader 5.0 ending with Acrobat 9 Pro and Reader 9. Contributed to all visual content for Adobe Acrobat Manuals and online Help published in English. Also managed localization of all designed and written content into 12 additional languages, and contributed to Adobe Press publications in the Classroom in a Book series.
Was hired as a Graphic Designer at Adobe Systems, Inc in 1998 for the "K2" project which was the internal code name for the upcoming 'Quark Killer' that became InDesign. Working with engineers and technical writers, I created visual content placed in Adobe InDesign manuals, online Help, and Classroom in a Book (Adobe Press) for English as well as publications in localized languages.
Interestingly enough, the introduction of InDesign did not kill PageMaker for many years since it was still so profitable for Adobe. PageMaker lived through several more revisions, ending with PageMaker 7.0, of which I contributed visual content that accompanied the printed manual, online Help, and the Classroom in a Book series from Adobe Press.
Working with a very talented technical writer, Mark Wheeler, I contributed to visual content for Adobe Photoshop Manuals and online Help for CS3, CS4 and CS5.

As Senior Graphic Designer at Adobe Systems, Inc., I worked with master Technical Writer Todd Kopriva on After Effects Help content. I contributed visual content for all domestic and localized publications of Adobe After Effects Manuals and online Help. Samples from effects galleries are shown with the online Help from CS4..
